The weather was somewhat saddened when we went on the road in Phuket to travel to the nearby island of Koh Yao Yai. We maneuvered our car on the small ferry and enjoyed the leisurely crossing. Koh Yao Yai is already visible from the mainland and the closer we got, the clearer it gets. Great bungalows and teak wood villas were built in the hilly countryside. Still, we could only speculate if this probably is the luxurious Santhiya Resort. We would know it anyway soon. After 45 minute on the boat we arrived at the island and tried to find our accommodation which I booked erroneously very far away from our wedding location. Driving time again 45 minutes for just a few kilometers. In short, the island is beautiful, quite unaffected and with only a few small roads. Google Maps sends us once again direct into the jungle, which then ultimately leads to nice encounters with locals. We have also mastered this situation and finally has reached our resort. Checked in, s short break for a bath, and then straight back to look for the resort of our clients. At last we met our cute newlyweds to discuss the wedding day. We made a short visit to Location, meet with the wedding planner on site and admired the zealous employees who were engaged in preparing the floral decoration. When we arrived on the wedding day we realized how beautiful this resort really is – simply indescribable. What a great feeling to work as a Wedding Photographer in such places! We started the day with a pre wedding photo shooting and walked through the beautiful resort, photographed on the beach, the pier, at the great pool area and everywhere where we liked. After our first photo shoot we went back to the pool villa. After getting ready it was finally time to go out for the ceremony on the beach.
