Beach Wedding on Koh Phangan – Franziska and David at Anantara Rasananda
For Franziska and David, we organized a small and very intimate wedding celebration with their closest family on the beautiful holiday island of Koh Phangan. Our first contact with the couple was in July 2018. Having visited Thailand several times before, they already had clear ideas about their dream wedding destination.
They chose the Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, located on the stunning Tong Nai Pan Noi Beach, as the perfect setting for their celebration. It was important to the couple that their wedding be legally recognized in Germany, so they opted for a civil ceremony with a German officiant.
Throughout the entire planning process, we coordinated all the details via email, WhatsApp, and phone calls, ensuring that every aspect of their special day was perfectly organized—from the ceremony and legal requirements to the intimate celebration with family.
The beach wedding setup was intentionally kept simple and elegant. A bamboo canopy draped with white fabrics and adorned with white and green floral arrangements perfectly complemented the soft blue sky. The bride carried a stunning bouquet of white lotus flowers, adding a delicate and tropical touch to the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony in German concluded with a symbolic sand ceremony, representing the deep bond between bride and groom. After receiving congratulations from their guests and toasting their happiness with a glass of champagne, it was time to cut the wedding cake.
Before the evening dinner, we took the opportunity to capture additional photos of the couple on the beach and in the resort’s beautiful gardens. The charming dinner table decorations—flower vases crafted from repurposed gas bottles—were lovingly arranged by my wife, Channa.
We sincerely thank Franziska and David for allowing us to be part of their special day on Koh Phangan and wish them all the very best on their journey together through married life.
